La víctima se encontraba en su casa cuando varios agentes irrumpieron en el domicilio y lo detuvieron por repartir propaganda subversiva. Inmediatamente fue trasladado al cuartel de la policía donde fue interrogado por el Teniente Coronel Roilán Cruz Oliva y quien lo amenazó con ir 20 años a prisión de continuar con su activismo.
