El denunciante fue detenido violentamente en la parada del ómnibus frente al hospital provincial "Saturnino Lora" de Santiago de Cuba, cuando se dirigía a la casa del opositor Daniel Barrriel Sanjurjo. Recibió fuertes golpes por parte de los agentes y fue trasladado a los calabozos de la 1ra Unidad de Micro-9.
