Dani López, fue detenido el 18 de abril en la calle, junto a Miguel Rafael Cabrera, y en 72 horas se procedió a un juicio rápido. Con anterioridad, Daniel López de Moya ya había sido detenido varias veces por su activismo. López de Moya fue golpeado por los militares en varias ocasiones y sufrió numerosos actos de repudio en su vivienda de la cual fueron también víctimas sus familiares.
