La víctima fue violentamente golpeada y detenida cuando se dirigía al santuario de "El Cobre" junto a otras compañeras. Ella y otras 3 mujeres que intentaron auxiliarla estuvieron 24 horas retenidas en un ómnibus sin comida ni agua, y no fue hasta la mañana siguiente cuando las dejaron en libertad pero en una carretera a las afueras.
