Un ciudadano fue encarcelado por participar en las protestas del 11 de julio de 2021 contra el régimen castrista. La protesta fue reprimida con golpes y aerosoles incapacitantes, sin embargo él logró escapar. Posteriormente fue arrestado, encarcelado y se le incluyó en la petición fiscal colectiva de 20 años de prisión por el delito de sedición.
