El 11 de julio -día de protestas- la víctima fue arrestada con violencia, lo inmovilizaron y golpearon con puños y tonfas/bastones desde el lugar de su captura hasta la patrulla y posteriormente lo golpearon al llegar a la unidad de Policía. Al momento del arresto no participaba en la manifestación, sino que se encontraba en el portal del hotel, filmando con el móvil y gritando ocasionalmente "Patria y vida" y "Libertad".
