Yordanis Chávez Roll se dirigía a la casa del coordinador de la UNPACU, Ovidio, en Vista Hermosa. El objetivo era reclamar la liberación de los compañeros Roilan Álvarez y Rubislandi Ávila, que estaban presos y en huelga de hambre. Seguidamente, la policía apareció y detuvo a Yordanis Chávez Roll junto a otros activistas, conduciándolo posteriormente a la Micro 9 Unidad de la PNR.
