El denunciante fue detenido cuando viajaba en ómnibus a la catedral de Santiago de Cuba. Temprano por la mañana el ómnibus fue detenido por la policía, quienes bajan a la víctima, le golpean y trasladan inmediatamente junto a varios activistas a la PNR de Julio Antonio Mella.
